SkyDeal ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the SkyDeal mobile app and website (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Email address — collected only when you voluntarily set up a Price Drop Alert. Used solely to send the requested price notification.
  • Account information — if you choose to sign in (via Manus OAuth or Sign in with Apple), we receive your name and email address from the authentication provider.

Information collected automatically:

  • Search queries — departure/destination airports, travel dates, and passenger counts entered during flight searches. Used to return search results and are not linked to your identity unless you are signed in.
  • Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.
  • Usage data — features used and screens visited, collected in aggregate to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the flight search Service
  • To send Price Drop Alert emails you have explicitly requested
  • To maintain your account and saved trips (if signed in)
  • To improve the accuracy and performance of our AI features
  • To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

SkyDeal uses the following third-party services to deliver its functionality:

  • SerpApi — provides real-time Google Flights data. Search parameters (airport codes, dates, passenger counts) are transmitted to SerpApi to retrieve flight results. See SerpApi Privacy Policy.
  • Manus AI (Forge) — powers the AI Chat Assistant and Fly Anywhere mode. Chat messages and flight data are processed by Manus AI to generate responses. See Manus Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — used to deliver Price Drop Alert emails. Your email address and the alert details are transmitted to Resend for email delivery. See Resend Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Sign In — if you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with your name and email (or a private relay address). We do not receive your Apple ID password.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Service:

  • Price Drop Alert email addresses are deleted when the alert is cancelled or triggered.
  • Account data is retained until you delete your account.
  • Search query logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging, then deleted.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (available in-app via Profile → Delete Account)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

6. Children's Privacy

SkyDeal is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure token storage on your device, and access controls on our servers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
